Core Sensors Releases CS-SM Steel and Rolling Mill Pressure Sensor
By Core Sensors | January 21, 2019
Core Sensors has released the CS-SM series pressure sensor designed to operate in the rugged and demanding environments of the steel and aluminum industry. The CS-SM steel and rolling mill pressure sensor is ideal for applications such as roll forming, stamping, pumps and coolant systems.
The CS-SM features a high strength sensing element machined from a single piece of stainless steel, eliminating the use of welds and O-rings that are potential weak points with long term use. A stainless steel body is welded to the sensing element and electrical connection to provide a IP69 rating capable of withstanding high pressure wash downs. 4X overpressure protection is standard on all configurations as well as a welded internal snubber to decrease the effects of pressure transients.
The CS-SM can operate from -40 to +100°C (-40 to 212°F) while providing a ≤ ± 0.25% BFSL accuracy. Optional ± 0.1% BFSL high accuracy is available upon request. Each sensor offers EMI/RFI protection and ~1 kHz frequency response (± 0.1% high accuracy models have 400 Hz frequency response).
Pressure ranges up to 350 bar are available with output signals of 4-20mA, 0-5V (3-wire) or 0-10V (3-wire) to address different application requirements. Electrical connection options include various lengths of cable or a 6-Pin Bendix MIL Spec connector. Pressure port options include 1/4″ MNPT, 7/16-20 UNF Male or 1/4″ Male BSPP.
Visit the CS-SM product page for a complete list of available options and specifications.
