CS50 Non-incendive Pressure Transducer Overview
The CS50 Non-Incendive Pressure Transducer is designed for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations with voltage and 4-20mA output signal options. Utilizing bulk silicon technology, the CS50 is offered with 316L, Hastelloy C276, or Inconel 718 sensor materials with no welds, O-rings, or fluid cavities and an extremely, thick and robust diaphragm. The CS50 features an all welded stainless steel housing construction, offering a minimum IP65 rating. A wide range of configurable options make the CS50 a versatile pressure transducer designed to operate in some of the harshest conditions. The CS50 is an excellent solution for applications such as natural gas compression, hydrogen compression and storage, and process control instrumentation.
Caution must be taken when installing and operating the CS50 in known Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations. Please review the Non-Incendive Operating Instructions prior to installation.

No Conduit Installation Required!
Available With A Turck Minifast Connection
In an effort to simplify installation in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations, the CS50 Non-Incendive Pressure Transducer is offered with an integral Turck Minifast electrical connection.
When combined with a CSA Division 2 approved Turck cordset and a Turck Lokfast Guard, there is no requirement for conduit to be installed over the cable*. This not only makes installation easy but also makes switching out sensors less cumbersome. Core Sensors can supply all components as a complete package.
* Core Sensors recommends confirming hazardous location installation requirements with your local inspector as each installation is unique.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this be calibrated for vacuum pressure?
The CS50 non-incendive pressure transducer can be calibrated as a compound pressure transducer. This is very common with compressor equipment applications. For example, the CS50 can measure -14.7 PSI to 100 PSI with a 4mA output where the 4mA signal is -14.7 PSI, ~6.05mA at 0 PSI and 20mA at 100 PSI. This gives the user the ability to measure vacuum pressure.
For low pressure vacuum applications, we also offer the CS51 pressure transducer.
Is the CS50 available with CRN?
Yes, Core Sensors can offer a CRN approved CS50 pressure transducer. Contact us for a quotation.
Can the CS50 be used to measure differential pressure?
Technically, the CS50 can measure differential pressure by calculating the difference between two pressure transducers. However, the CS54 non-incendive differential pressure transducer is the more suitable solution. It will produce greater accuracy for applications such as filtration on natural gas engines.
Why would I choose the Mini-fast option?
Connectorized solutions in general provide benefits over cable including:
- Faster installation
- Minimize wiring decisions
- Independently commission the sensor and wiring
- Faster service and removal
Core Sensors stocks mating cable assemblies and lockout devices to make the CS50 ready for install.
Is the CS50 available in stock?
Core Sensors and our distributors have some stocked items available for purchase. Contact us with your configuration and we’ll confirm stock availability based on your location or turnaround time. In many cases, our team can expedite a made-to-order design within a week with various configurations.
Do you offer the CS50 with a Schrader fitting for HVAC/R applications?
While the Schrader fitting is not available as a fitting, we do offer a 1/4″ NPT to Schrader fitting. It’s available on our website for purchase and in stock.
