Sensor Materials
Skid automation equipment can encounter various liquids and gases. In many cases, the pressure transducer diaphragm is the thinnest material in contact with the media. Core’s bulk silicon technology utilizes a thick measuring surface within a single piece of stainless steel or high-strength nickel alloy.
- 316L: Core Sensors offers standard 316L stainless steel for our industrial and hazardous area pressure transducers.
- Hastelloy C276: High-strength nickel alloy material available with flush diaphragm configurations, high temperature, sensors, and industrial and hazardous locations. This is commonly chosen for desalination, chemical processing, and acidic liquids.
- Inconel 718: Similar to Hastelloy, Inconel offers excellent liquid and gas capabilities with various water types and corrosive gases.
